The successful Purelight Series is now completely switched to a waterproof design. With a rating of IP54, the new Laserworld Purelight Series is out-of-the-box suitable for outdoor events, and they don’t mind if it’s raining or not. The power levels available range from 5W up to 50 W of laser power, and all units have great beam specifications and fast scanning, which makes them suitable for graphics projections, too.

The Purelight Series lasers are extremely versatile due to the standard built-in ShowNET laser mainboard: Various stand-alone operation modes and ILDA control are possible, and much more professional options are also available – as there is an API for the ShowNET mainboard, many different software tools can directly output to the laser. This is not limited to classic laser software, like Showeditor or Showcontroller, but also professional video and multimedia control software like MadLaser or Touchdesigner can directly output to the Laserworld Purelight Series lasers without the need of additional licensed or external software to run in between.

Lighting designers probably appreciate the professional DMX and ArtNet controllability the most: projection zone and safe zone can directly be configured from the lighting desk and stored back to the main board, just with the use of DMX/ArtNet, to allow for safe laser operation. Scaling laser setups is extremely easy with this, as no additional computers are required any more.

We've expanded our semi-professional Club Series at Laserworld with two high-power laser devices: the CS-8000RGB FX and the CS-12.000RGB FX. These multi-color RGB laser systems of ours can project bright white light and are equipped with fast scanners for basic graphics display. We use diode-only lasers in these systems, and they can be operated in various modes like DMX, stand-alone, and sound-to-light. They're also compatible with professional ILDA computer control, working seamlessly with interfaces like ShowNET and software including Showeditor or Showcontroller, as well as other ILDA software.

In these high-power models, similar to our smaller 2W and 4W units, we've included a built-in effect wheel with burst and line effects gratings. These gratings multiply the projection and create stunning, room-filling effects, controllable automatically or via DMX.

The LAserworld CS-8000RGB FX has a guaranteed output power of 7,300mW, with color details of 1,800mW/638nm red, 1,800mW/520nm green, and 3,700mW/450nm blue. The CS-12.000RGB FX, on the other hand, boasts an output power of 11,000mW, consisting of 2,600mW/638nm red, 2,900mW/520nm green, and 5,500mW/450nm blue. Both systems feature beam specifications of 5 mm and 1.4 mrad, and their scanners are rated at 28kpps @ 8° ILDA, ensuring smooth scanning and basic graphics capabilities.

We designed these high-power Club Series units to be affordable laser solutions for intense power needs in large nightclubs and small to medium-sized festivals. Despite their raw power, they are very durable and suitable for a wide range of applications.

ILD Render is an innovative tool for laser show professionals to convert vector graphics and animations of Blender and InkScape, both 2D and 3D, to laser compatible files. The challenge with doing this is optimizing the vectors in a way that the laser can properly display them without having to draw too many points and thus have flickering laser output. Therefore it is essential to have a direct output from the laser while creating content.

With it’s latest upgrade ILD Render supports direct output to the ShowNET laser mainboard, which is standard in many laser systems, e.g. the Laserworld Diode and Purelight Series as well as in the tarm units or RTI devices. ILD Render is also compatible to the external ShowNET interface, which can be used with any laser system with ILDA interface.

The integration to ILD Render opens up a lot of new possibilities: Blender is THE open source 3D animation software and InkScape is THE open source vector drawing tool. Both are very common amongst visual content creators.

With using ILD Render for creating 2D or 3D content with the use of Blender or InkScape it is possible to directly create standard ILDA files, which are compatible to pretty much every laser software in the market, including Showeditor and Showcontroller.

Software API released for ShowNET laser mainboard

Laserworld released the API for direct communication of applications with their standard laser mainboard ShowNET, which is core to many laser systems in the market now. ShowNET is an intelligent laser mainboard, that provides laser systems with a multitude of control features, like stand alone operation, DMX, ArtNET, ILDA Streaming, but also direct computer control via LAN.

Various laser control software programs already support the laser mainboard, like Showeditor or Showcontroller, but there are also integrations to widely used multimedia tools, like MadMapper and their MadLaser extension.

With being the mainboard to a large range of laser systems for several years, ShowNET is a well-established hardware component in the show industry. Making this hardware directly accessible for more and different control software systems allows for integrations to more and new laser control projects.

The ShowNET laser mainboard is known as a super powerful heart to lasers already, so MadMapper, the popular video mapping and multimedia control software, decided to make a native implementation of ShowNET in their new extension MadLaser, which is specifically made to create direct laser output combined with video mappings and lighting control. MadLaser can be feeded with video content of any kind and it automatically converts this video content to laser output on the fly. This approach of using lasers in multimedia applications is fresh and new: MadLaser does not rely on the classic laser software concept of handling all content as vectors while programming but leaves the laser specific content treatment to the software for most of the part.
