Laserworld NEWS
ILD Render is an innovative tool for laser show professionals to convert vector graphics and animations of Blender and InkScape, both 2D and 3D, to laser compatible files. The challenge with doing this is optimizing the vectors in a way that the laser can properly display them without having to draw too many points and thus have flickering laser output. Therefore it is essential to have a direct output from the laser while creating content.
With it’s latest upgrade ILD Render supports direct output to the ShowNET laser mainboard, which is standard in many laser systems, e.g. the Laserworld Diode and Purelight Series as well as in the tarm units or RTI devices. ILD Render is also compatible to the external ShowNET interface, which can be used with any laser system with ILDA interface.
The integration to ILD Render opens up a lot of new possibilities: Blender is THE open source 3D animation software and InkScape is THE open source vector drawing tool. Both are very common amongst visual content creators.
With using ILD Render for creating 2D or 3D content with the use of Blender or InkScape it is possible to directly create standard ILDA files, which are compatible to pretty much every laser software in the market, including Showeditor and Showcontroller.

You can now let your software directly output to the ShowNET laser mainboard, which is standard built into a multitude of laser systems!
Software API released for ShowNET laser mainboard
Laserworld released the API for direct communication of applications with their standard laser mainboard ShowNET, which is core to many laser systems in the market now. ShowNET is an intelligent laser mainboard, that provides laser systems with a multitude of control features, like stand alone operation, DMX, ArtNET, ILDA Streaming, but also direct computer control via LAN.
Various laser control software programs already support the laser mainboard, like Showeditor or Showcontroller, but there are also integrations to widely used multimedia tools, like MadMapper and their MadLaser extension.
With being the mainboard to a large range of laser systems for several years, ShowNET is a well-established hardware component in the show industry. Making this hardware directly accessible for more and different control software systems allows for integrations to more and new laser control projects.
The ShowNET API / SDK is available for Windows x86 and x64 Systems as well as for Mac OSX with Intel and M1 processors. Software developers who are interested in making use of the new ShowNET API /SDK can find more details here and register for receiving more details and individual access keys:

Many popular laser systems have this ShowNET laser mainboard integrated as standard:
- Laserworld Diode Series
- Laserworld Purelight Series
- tarm Series
- RTI PIKO Series
- RTI NANO Series
and more.
The ShowNET laser mainboard is also available as external hardware interface that outputs to the standard ILDA analog ports. That way it is compatible to pretty much all computer controllable laser systems in the market.
The ShowNET laser interface is in the market for many years. Even older hardware can be accessed with the new API, if the latest firmware is applied to the ShowNET – hardware even dating back to 2015 is made compatible and can be controlled.
Laserworld makes the ShowNET hardware available to custom integrators, too: It is offered as ShowNET OEM integration kit and can be integrated to any conventional laser system.

The ShowNET laser mainboard is known as a super powerful heart to lasers already, so MadMapper, the popular video mapping and multimedia control software, decided to make a native implementation of ShowNET in their new extension MadLaser, which is specifically made to create direct laser output combined with video mappings and lighting control. MadLaser can be feeded with video content of any kind and it automatically converts this video content to laser output on the fly. This approach of using lasers in multimedia applications is fresh and new: MadLaser does not rely on the classic laser software concept of handling all content as vectors while programming but leaves the laser specific content treatment to the software for most of the part. This makes it super easy for video artists to integrate lasers to their projects, as they do not have to deal with too much laser specific things but can focus on their creative work and rely on known video content handling.
Using a laser system with a ShowNET laser mainboard is a huge advantage for any artist using MadLaser: These laser systems have all the required hardware built-in and can directly be connected to the computer via LAN cable. And several lasers can simply be linked via standard network switch.
Besides the option for direct output it is also possible to create files in the ILDA file format and store those inside the laser on the memory card of the ShowNET to let the lasers either run automatically, triggered by DMX or ArtNET or master-slave – depending on the demand of the project.
MadMapper with their MadLaser and the ShowNET equipped laser systems are a perfect match, as they are less wiring and hardware on site as with external hardware devices, and it is a very affordable solution, too: no extra hardware is required, so extra licenses need to be bought – it’s just the laser system as it comes as standard.
As a bonus, each laser system equipped with the ShowNET laser mainboard comes with a full license for the powerful Showeditor software, which also allows for direct laser output as well as content creation for the internal memory of the ShowNET – in the classic laser specific way.

So it definitely is a great match: MadLaser natively supports the ShowNET laser mainboard!
These product ranges have the ShowNET laser mainboard built-in and are directly compatible with MadLaser - just connect them via LAN with your computer (Windows or MAC), and get going instantly:
THIS ARE SOME OF THE FEATURES OF THE MADLASER EXTENSION FOR MADMAPPER:

Laserworld releases effects laser for DJs and nightclubs with safe laser class 2
The new Laserworld EL-300RGB is a multicolor whitelight special effects laser that creates a multitude of dots or beams, depending on the viewing angle. The power of the laser system is distributed evenly to the dots due to special optics, which as a result makes the laser eye-safe, as it is a class 2 laser and thus not considered dangerous if used appropriately - yet the bright laser beams remain well visible.
Therefore the EL-300RGB is the perfect effects laser for the use in small to medium sized rooms: ideal for mobile DJs and small nightclub, bars and entertainers. The laser system can be controlled via DMX, but can also run in different stand-alone operation modes and can be triggered by music, too.
The effects wheel in the EL-300RGB can be operated at different speeds, even a static operation is possible. The different colors can easily be selected either directly at the unit or remotely via DMX.
