Master/Slave

In its basic form, the master/slave concept derives from information technology and regulates the communication and management of access rights. In the field of event technology, master/slave refers to the automation or synchronisation of lighting fixtures or show lasers of the same model that communicate with each other via DMX512. One device is always configured as "master", while one or multiple devices are configured as "slave". The slave devices receive their control signal from the master device and behave identically, which means they output the same laser show as the master device. Therefore, all devices must contain the same content and use the same DMX layout.

All Laserworld show lasers with an integrated ShowNET support master/slave operation. The master/slave mode can be selected in music mode and demo mode.
