Al Noor Island, Sharjah, United Arab Emirates

Al Noor Island is located in Sharjah, UAE. The whole island is a huge project of  André Heller, a multimedia artist. On an area of 28,000 square meters 3deluxe designed a futuristic scenery with a new bridge, a literature pavillion and the only working butterfly house in the Gulf Region are now illuminated thanks to HB-Laser. Almost the complete multimedia installation, starting with the plannings up to the turn-key installation were made by HB-Laser.

  • Glowing Meadows with nearly 1,300 fibre fed lights
  • Butterfly Cafe lighting with ca. 200m RGB LED strips with dynamic color control
  • Roof of a butterfly house with nearly 1,400 RGB LED dots; Interior illuminated with ca. 120 LED luminaires
  • Cactus garden with 80 individually controlled RGB LED spots
  • Roof of a literature pavillion with nearly 160 LED tubes and ca. 3,000 white LED dots; Interior with ca. 120 LED luminaires and approx. 300 RGB LED modules
  • 3 customized LightCubes IP 68 including grating modules illuminating several trees
  • 3 HD video projectors and 3 HD players for video mapping
  • Sound system with 120 speakers around the island
  • Park illumination with about 900 luminaires
  • 15km cabelling around he island

The technical equipment  is weather protected according to IP 67 or higher as well as integrated into IP cooling housings to resist against the extreme weather conditions of 10°C to 50°C, humidity of up to 95% and heavy rain.
