Flight Festival, Timisoara (RO)

Music meets Education: In Timișoara, the Flight Festival Team created a unique, three-day cultural festival with three stages and over 20 acts. The festival featured two tarm 11 and six Laserworld PL-20.000RGB lasers, deployed by the creative Showmasters team. Showmasters Srl is a Romanian event agency specializing in mapping, laser shows, and projections. We are especially pleased that the Showmasters team exclusively uses our tarm and Laserworld laser systems for their outdoor projects. Since its inception in 2019, the Flight Festival in Timișoara has evolved into a remarkable event that uniquely combines music, technology, and digital art. What began as a festival focusing on drone shows and immersive installations is now a firmly established part of Timișoara's cultural landscape. The festival's evolution, including its realignment during the pandemic and expansion through collaboration with District23 in 2023, demonstrates clear adaptability and a readiness for growth. The 2024 edition, held at the Muzeul Satului Bănățean, attracted an impressive audience of almost 90,000 visitors over three days and offered a diverse mix of well-known music acts and innovative tech and art installations. In 2025, the festival continued its success at the same venue, spanning three full days and presenting a wide range of international and national artists. The continued emphasis on "edutainment" through workshops and interactive exhibitions underscores its ambition to go beyond pure entertainment.
