Laserworld AG, the flagship company of the Laserworld Group, is headquartered in Lengwil, Switzerland, on Lake Constance. From here, we coordinate the manufacturing, sales, and service of show laser systems worldwide. All development and production of our laser systems takes place on our own production lines.

In addition, our laser projectors comply with European safety standards and are certified according to CE, CCC, and RoHS. Laserworld maintains a large, permanent inventory of laser projectors, so delivery times are generally very short, even for larger quantities. Thanks to high sales volumes, we are able to keep product prices low. Our global sales network guarantees fast, customer-focused service and support. The Laserworld Group covers all areas of development, production, marketing, and sales of laser systems, their control software, and accessories.

The Laserworld Group has a long history of laser systems. A variety of new technological developments over the years have helped Laserworld AG significantly strengthen its market position and develop numerous new and improved products.
Our History
The company was founded in late 2007 as a Swiss stock corporation. In fact, however, its origins go back even further, as several of the Laserworld Group’s current executives have been active in the show laser industry for over or nearly 20 years. This includes Martin Werner, CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Laserworld AG, who has led several companies in the industry since 2003, in some cases achieving annual growth rates of over 100%. Ultimately, the decision was made to establish Laserworld AG as a holding company under which all firms and activities would be consolidated.
By establishing subsidiaries worldwide, acquiring additional companies, and strengthening its global partner network, Laserworld has achieved extensive, comprehensive market coverage within the show laser industry.

Ray Technologies GmbH is being integrated
Early 2011 marked a milestone in Laserworld’s growth and also laid the groundwork for the idea of a company group: The high-end, professional market segment was significantly expanded through the products of Ray Technologies GmbH (RTI). This move into the top-tier professional market was well-founded and subsequently led to a significant strengthening of both brands in the market.
Ray Technologies GmbH, headquartered in Valley, Germany, focused on high-performance, high-end laser projectors, large-scale events (Olympic Games, trade shows, etc.), rentals, and installations for major projects, thereby significantly expanding the Laserworld Group’s portfolio.

The first tarm products were added to the product portfolio. This historically strong and well-known brand further strengthened the company’s positive market perception.
Pangolin Products Now Available
In 2011, Pangolin’s software products were also added to the product portfolio to expand the range of control options for the laser systems.
Starting in August 2011, various subsidiaries were established overseas to serve specific markets even more efficiently. These included, among others, Laserworld Asia Co., Ltd. and Laserworld UK Ltd.
Demand for rental lasers increased, so the portfolio of rental equipment was expanded to over 100 units. The equipment was stocked not only in Switzerland but also in Germany and at the facility in China.
In 2015, tarm became part of the Laserworld Group. This move fills a gap in the product portfolio and further expands a market segment with strong demand. The tarm brand is positioned as a premium brand in the mid-range segment between Laserworld and RTI, while also offering some products for the high-end segment.
In 2016, Laserworld released a new version of its Showeditor laser show software, which worked with the ShowNET interface by default and also handled its license management. The Showeditor software thus worked without an additional key or license dongle. Thanks to its versatility, Showeditor quickly gained widespread use and is still shipped bundled with ShowNET interfaces.
The Laserworld Academy was founded in 2017 with the goal of significantly expanding the existing range of laser safety seminars by offering additional seminars and services. The Laserworld Academy focuses in particular on laser safety -including at the international level - as well as software and technical training.
With the launch of the ShowController, Laserworld has finally brought professional laser control software to the market: live laser show control and timeline programming, import and export of exchange formats, and professional features such as timecode and intuitive drag-and-drop programming make the ShowController Software Suite a universal show tool.
Showcontroller is compatible with all ShowNET laser mainboards, as well as many other DACs, thereby rounding out Laserworld’s extensive product portfolio with a professional control solution.
Starting in 2019, the ShowNET mainboard will become the standard in most of the group’s semi-professional and professional laser systems. This will ensure broad compatibility with a wide variety of control solutions. As a result, the group’s entire product portfolio will be significantly strengthened and become even more competitive in the international market.
With the development of RSL technology at Ray Technologies, the focus continues to be on technological leadership. This technology changes the way individual laser diodes are optically coupled to achieve higher power levels. The technical foundation subsequently led to numerous further improvements. The development of the first stage of RSL technology was an important milestone for the group of companies.
With the merger of RTI and LaserAnimation Sollinger GmbH in Berlin, the high-end segment within the Laserworld Group is continuing to grow substantially: This even clearer positioning in the top segment will result in further significant growth in market share and a significant strengthening of the R&D team.
The release of the ShowNET API marks a significant opening of the infrastructure to the market: software solutions from related fields can now output directly to lasers equipped with the ShowNET mainboard - without additional licensing requirements or intermediary steps. New interfaces and many new possibilities are emerging, particularly in the fields of video and multimedia.
In 2024, the tarm brand began its transition from manufacturing laser systems to producing professional lighting technology. At the heart of this transformation was the development of the company’s own light engine, based on direct-diode laser technology, designed to replace conventional light sources in professional spotlights.
With “tarm – professional luminaires,” the structure of the brand’s positioning within the corporate group is changing, and a new product segment is emerging for a related target audience. The brand will henceforth be managed by tarm AG.
On the occasion of LaserAnimation Sollinger’s 40th anniversary and the Laserworld Group’s associated Open House Day, it was announced that LPS Lasersysteme, based in Ofterdingen, Germany, will become part of the Laserworld Group. Siegmung “Siggi” Ruff will be joining the sales team. The brand and part of the product portfolio will continue to be offered.
The former managing director of HB-Laserkomponenten in Schwäbisch-Gmünd, Germany, is joining the sales team, bringing with him extensive international experience and many years of industry expertise.
