Coherent is a US manufacturer of laser solutions across many industries; show laser is only a small part of what the company does. What matters here is its OPSL technology - Optically Pumped Semiconductor Laser - which is used in some specialist products of LaserAnimation Sollinger and RTI.
Coherent is a third party brand and is not exclusive to Laserworld. Coherent manufactures the laser heads only, so the modules need a driver, and that driver has to be certified by Coherent before it may be used with them. Very few licensed integrators exist worldwide.
Buying Taipan OPSL technology directly from Coherent is normally not possible without being an integrator. Through the Laserworld Group it is: the OPSL sources are supplied fully integrated with the ultra small LAS driver, ready to be mounted by professionals for show or industrial applications.
