In Action: Lasers at Festivals
Lasers are an important part of the utmost light shows at festivals. Lighting designers use them as emotionalizing, emphasizing effect to catch the crowd and add a visual level to the perception of the music. As festivals use larger numbers of lasers, they usually go for DMX control of the laser systems, which is a perfect match for the ShowNET mainboards in all relevant laser systems that allow for professional yet easy control of laser systems via lighting console.
This year’s MAYDAY, one of the most famous electronic music events in Germany, took place on 30th April in Dortmund, Germany. 25’000 party people visited this spectacular event that headlined “Making Friends”. Laserfabrik, who did the laser show design and implementation on the main stage, relied on laser gear of the Laserworld Group for this large event: More than 200W of laser...MAYDAY 2015 - Westfalenhalle Dortmund, Germany HB-Laser supported the yearly "Tag und Nacht an der Hochschule" event of the Polytechnical University in Aalen, Germany, last on 24.04.2015 for the fourth time. Six HB-Laser LightCube 863 RGB 13 were used together with two stacked video projectors with 12.000 ANSI lumen to create a spectacular multi media display with video and laser mapping as well as graphics and beam show....HTW Aalen - Tag und Nacht an der Hochschule 2015 The Hard Dance electronic music event “Masters of Hardcore” celebrated their 20th anniversary in 2015 – titled “20 Years of Rebellion”. 25’000 people attended the event on 28th March 2015 in the Brabanthallen in S’Hertogenbosch in the Netherlands. Every year a huge Halloween Party takes place there, supported by radio and TV stations, and many famous regional and international artists perform at this event. HB-Laser supplied laser shows for this event several times already.
The challenge at this event is the large stage and the huge crowd. To cover...Europapark Rust Halloween Laser Show, Germany Andy Lau,a very famous artist in Asia, chose to go for HB-Laser systems for his China tour 2011 - after having used them for his whole Asia Concert Tour before! The Asia Concert tour was extremely successful, so Andy Lau relied again on HB-Laser systems. For his China Tour he chose 11 LightCube 871 RGB 15W systems with Pangolin laser show control software.
...Laser Show @ Andy Lau's China Tour 2011 Laser projections towards surfaces are always a challenge: if the surface is too reflective, it may be dangerous. If the surface is too dark, the projection may not be well visible. If the surface is bumpy, the projected image may not look nice.
At this project in Cairo there was a different challenge: The projection surface was not solid, but was a fence, so only a part of the...Laser Projection @ Sports Stadium in Cairo, Egypt HB-Laser provided two show laser light systems for the SWR3 Dance Night in Bad Krotzingen. The systems were used as center effects on the main festival outdoor stage. Both systems were stacked to create a double-layer center effect.

AC Lasers were responsible for the stage show and did a great job. They used several RTI PIKO RGB 18 show laser lights of Laserworld. A perfect combination!
