Marseille - Capital of Culture 2013

In the course of Marseille’s inauguration as European Capital of Culture 2013 Laserworld arranged a spectacular laser show that amazed the spectators. The opening ceremony took place on January the 12th. The laser projectors of the RTI high end series were situated on Mont Julien / Massif d’Etoile next to the commune Cadolive, 25 km north-east of Marseille. Six single beams were shot in different directions and could be seen over a distance of more than 18 km, as shown on the following photos. One beam tended to the church Notre Dame de la Garde in Marseille, one to the highest building of Marseille, the Tour CMA-CGM, another one straight over the city of Marseille, one to the television transmitter L’Etoile in the Massif d’Etoile, one to the commune Belcodène further north-east of Cadolive and a last one to a Metro station near Belcodène.
For the show Laserworld used four RTI NANO 6 RYGCB 35R systems, one RTI NANO G 72R and one RTI PIKO G 24R out of the company’s well-appointed rental pool in Lengwil-Oberhofen, Switzerland. The RTI systems are particularly suitable for outdoor use and sky laser shows due to their high power, beam accuracy and their waterproof housings. As a rental system special emphasis should be placed on the RTI NANO G 72R: with its power of 72 watt, its excellent beam shape and divergence it is the perfect laser for every high end application.
