ShowNet is a hardware digital-analog-converter for the use with laser show software. It converts a digital network signal to an analog laser control signal. The ShowNET interface is either available as external device, so it can be used with any laser system with ILDA interface, or it is available as integratable board that can be implemented directly into laser systems for most convenience.

The ShowNET interface has been designed to be compatible to standard network infrastructure, without the need of additional, costly components. The Signal uses the standard UDP data transfer protocol, so the signal can be distributed with normal switches, it can be amplified and even transferred over long distances through fiber transmission.

Laser Harp Controller

LASERHARP-logo-CMYK
the brand

The Laser Harp Controller, manufactured by Prolight, is a special MIDI unit for advanced laser control in live performances.
As the two software solutions Phoenix and Pangolin fully support interaction with the Harp Controller, Laserworld provides this special control solution.

The Laser Harp controller works in three directions:

1. It provides an ILDA output signal, that generates a fan of beams and can be used with every laser that supports ILDA standard protocol.  The projection can be modified to a certain extent through different settings. The beams are either deflected 90° with a deflection mirror, so they shine vertically, or the whole projector is set front side up (this is often done with our small Pure Micro units)

2. The Harp controller optical detector detects if beams are interrupted (basically it detects if there is a reflection, that's why it's best to use white gloves to play the harp). Multi-detection is possible.
The vertical laser beam fans look like a harp - and can be played like one.

3. On detection of a beam interruption a MIDI signal is sent out by the Harp Controller unit - that can be then used further by every MIDI compatible receiver. In many cases the MIDI output signal is sent to either Pangolin software or Phoenix LIVE. The latter even provides a special Laser Harp Mode, that is especially optimized for the Prolight Laser Harp.

It is possible to trigger whatever action should be done over MIDI - it doesn't need to be sound, it can also be video, pyro, laser etc.. This solely depends on the custom requirements.

Pangolin Lasershow Designer Quickshow

Pangolin Quickshow is a fully comprehensive laser control software that was designed for live performance as well as for programming of laser shows.

In the fore of the software development was an intuitive user interface, so that even beginners will quickly learn how to use it. Quickshow contains already a large number of pre-programmed graphics and beam effects, but it can also be expanded easily and quickly with own patterns, graphics or texts by the user himself.

The Quickshow Set includes the software and the ILDA output hardware: The Flashback 3 output card (FB-3) is thousand times proven and tested worldwide in use and delivers pure graphic output and optimized brightness even for professional requirements.

Pangolin QuickShow

Start with Pangolin QuickShow

...is very simple:
Due to the already included shows, show parts and patterns, shows can be played immediately or the software can be operated live. A "teaching" of the software or a complicated configuration is not required. You can simply click on the existing patterns or use them directly for your own shows - with a simple drag and drop.
Numerous different effects can be used on existing patterns, so that the pattern and the effect are changed specifically.
Of course, even professionals can achieve very good results with Pangolin Quickshow: Various professional functions, such as cue layering, sequencing, Auto BPM trigger, timeline synchronizing, etc. make Pangolin Quickshow to a popular tool even at the old hands in the show laser business.

Hardware requirements for Pangolin Quickshow

Computer Requirements

Normally, QuickShow can be used with any standard computer or laptop. Like all laser show software programs, your computer must have a Windows operating system. On Apple systems the software is likely to run on a Windows emulator (however, Pangolin grants no function guarantee).

The requirements in detail

Notebook or PC with a dual core processor, e.g. Intel Centrino Duo, Core 2 Duo or equivalent AMD chipset. 2GB of RAM. Experience shows that QuickShow runs on slightly weaker systems as well.

Operating system: Windows XP, Windows Vista or Windows 7 (32or 64 bit)
Monitor: Minimum resolution 1024x768 px
Connections: at least one USB port

Laser projector requiremet

All systems offered by Laserworld that have an ILDA interface can be controlled by Pangolin Quickshow.
The scan speed is just as irrelevant as the color structure of the individual modules in the projector (analog, TTL, single or multi colors). For projectors containing more than three color laser sources (applies only to certain products of the RTI NANO series), we generally recommend the use of Pangolin LD-2000 or Pangolin BEYOND with QM-2000 card.

Laserprojektoren QuickShow Pangolin

Optional hardware components

Touchscreen

Pangolin Quickshow was additionally optimized for use with a touch screen. Especially at live operation without an external controller, this control option is very helpful.

MIDI controller

Laserworld offers various controller solutions for the efficient control of Pangolin Quickshow by a haptic control console. Previously, often MIDI keyboards were used to play the single laser effects. Currently, many customers rely on MIDI controllers that have more features and a variety of additional fader banks, such as the Akai APC-40.

DMX Interface

QuickShow can handle DMX signals in two directions: On the one hand, another sensor (such as a lighting console or software) can control Quickshow through the DMX signal by remote. On the other hand, it is possible to control from Quickshow other DMX devices, like moving heads, lighting effects and fog machines. For the DMX signal processing Pangolin recommends the DMX interface ENTTEC DMX USB Pro.

Enttec HardwareExpansion of output card

QuickShow comes standard with a FB-3 (Flashback3) output interface. In order to control several projectors individually, you require several output interfaces (shall the lasers do exactly the same, one interface is enough, since the control signal is looped then). Simply purchase additional licenses of Pangolin QuickShow - you can operate up to 8 output interfaces with Quickshow simultaneously.
Should you need more output interfaces, Pangolins BEYOND or LD-2000 is the right choice.

Wireless Solution from Sweden produces devices for wireless transmission of DMX512 or Artnet signals. This is a vey helpful solution to easily handle long distances between the FoH and the stage. Event technicians know about the difficulties of running very long signal cables, even if transmission is done serially.
The W-DMXTM solutions that are provided from Wireless Solution work on a professional bandwidth and have auto corrective functions to ensure a stable signal transmission. It is possible to cover several hundred meters of transmission distance. Different antennas help to extend the reach.

Laserworld was the first company in the world that integrated the original W-DMXTM in their laser projectors. This solution has been initially presented at Prolight & Sound in 2011.
In the meanwhile Laserworld has extended the product range and also provides several external laser control solutions that have the W-DMXTM transceiver integrated. This makes laser control very flexible, if DMX control must be used.

Coherent is an U.S. company that manufactures many different kinds of laser solutions - show laser solutions are only a small part. However, they provide the patented technology OPSL (Optically Pumped Semiconductor Laser), that RTI uses in their high quality Series PIKO and NANO.
As Coherent only manufactures the laser heads, it is necessary that the so called "licensed integrators" have their own driver for these modules. Before such a driver may be used with the OPSL modules, it must be certified by Coherent (otherwise no warranty).

There are only very few licensed integrators worldwide - but Ray Technologies GmbH (RTI) is one of them.
It is normally not possible to buy Taipan OPSL technology directly from Coherent without being integrator - but you can buy from Laserworld: As we sell Coherent OPSL technology fully integrated with the ultra small RTI driver, it can be mounted by professionals - for show laser applications or industrial purposes (see www.RayTechnologies.com).

tarm® laser show systems

tarm Logo
the brand

Tarm® has been founded in the end of the 1970s. Soon after the foundation, the focus shifted more and more towards laser technology. tarm® did a lot of pioneering work to the still young show laser light industry in the following years.
The biggest nightclubs world wide were equipped with tarm® laser systems. Multiplex cinemas, theme parcs, musicals, luxury yachts and every type of venue with show lasers used tarm® laser systems.

Beginning of 2016, tarm® laser technologies joined the Laserworld Group for being able to expand further and target more international markets. New product lines have been established since, and the huge distribution network of the Laserworld Group helps in spreading the tarm® brand to an even broader market.

tarm Series

The tarm Series show laser projectors are full color whitelight RGB laser systems with full analog color modulation and diode-only equipment. The guaranteed output power is specified at 2'500 mW up to 6'700 mW after optics depending on model.

The tarm two can be controlled via ILDA. It has a switchable scan safety and switches for x-axis and y-axis flip. Color intensity can be adjusted with trim pots per color channel.

The tarm four and tarm seven can be controlled via ILDA and come with an advanced main board control via browser interface. It is possible to access the configuration settings for color, scanning and other parameters directly through a browser application by connecting to the laser via LAN (W-LAN with suitable access point). With this browser interface it is no longer necessary to physically access the laser projector (that is probably mounted in several meter height). All configurations can be set remotely from any computer (PC, MAC, Linux), tablet or even mobile phone.

All show laser projectors have great beam specifications with a diameter of ca. 3.0 mm and a beam divergence of approx. 0.8 mrad (full angle). Together with the fast scanning systems with 45 kpps@8°ILDA and a maximum scan angle of 60° (@30 kpps) these show laser lights are well graphics capable and suitable for professional laser applications.

hauptcategory tarm lasers

tarm G OPSL Series

The tarm G OPSL Series show laser projectors are green Coherent Taipan OPSL solutions with analog color modulation.
These show laser lights can be controlled via ILDA and come with an advanced main board control via browser interface.
The tarm G OPSL devices have very fast scanners, running at 45kpp@8° ILDA and scanning a maximum scan angle of 60°, upgrades to CT-scanners with 60kpps@8° ILDA and a deflection angle of up to 80° are available on request. These specifications definitely make the units perfectly suitable for professional applications and ideal for graphics projections.

tarm HD Series

The tarm HD Series comprises high performance laser projectors, equipped with Coherent Taipan OPSL and HD OPSL laser modules with TEM00 beam profile.
The tarm HD show laser lights fulfill highest requirements in terms of brightness, beam divergence and accuracy.
These tarm show laser systems are equipped with Coherent Taipan OPSL and with the newly developed Coherent HD OPSL laser modules with TEM00 beam profile (TEM = Transverse electromagnetic mode) . At TEM00 the brightness of the beam spot is homogenously distributed in a Gaussian curve, so the spot is perfectly round and has no deviances due to wave interferences. Besides that, the tarm HD Series has an extremely low beam divergence: with CT-6210H scanners and standard optics: ca. 0.5 mrad or optionally with CT-6215HP scanners and low divergence optics: ca. 0.3 mrad (TEM00).
This results in an extremely increase of brightness in comparison to 'conventional' OPSL laser modules and especially in comparison to diode laser sources. The excellent beam specifications make these laser systems ideal for graphics and long distance projections, but also for beam effects, which shall be visible from far away.

Laserworld is a world leader in the field of manufacturing and distribution of show laser light systems. The product portfolio ranges from small, entry level laser light systems (effect lasers, club lasers, party lasers) up to high end professional lasers. Every product and product series targets a certain customer group, so the laser systems in the Laserworld product portfolio complement each other, which results in heterogeneous customer groups: musical equipment retail stores, music stores as well as nightclubs, amusement parks, rental and production companies are just a small extract of them.
Laserworld runs an online store for show laser light systems on sale. It is possible to buy laser light systems directly there or purchase them at one of our countless distribution partners. Commercial customers are encouraged to register as dealer.

Rent Laser Systems

It does not always make sense to buy, but to rent laser show systems. Laserworld holds a large stock of laser systems for rent.. The rental laser systems are available for worldwide shipping and can also be rented together with professional laser operators. We only rent out high professional laser show equipment, mainly built by RTI. So products of the PIKO, NANO and NEO Series are available. And of course we offer Showcontroller, Pangolin and Lasergraph DSP laser show control systems for rent as well.
Laserworld holds larger stock of RGB white light laser systems with 10W and more. The online rental price list helps in selecting the right laser for rental and helps to calculate the rental price. It is also possible to select laser accessories for rent, such as haze machines, smoke machines or MIDI controllers.

Laser Show Production

Long year experience of show partners and many references from past laser show and multimedia show projects where lasers manufactured by the Laserworld Group came into action, make us the right partner for any type of laser show production or laser show project. No matter if it’s a fixed installation of laser systems or multi-media projections, or if it’s a temporary show: Our experts help in laser show planning, design, on-site implementation and laser show production. We offer turn-key multimedia show solutions as well as Laser Show productions in part or embedded to other show productions, like it happens at big stage shows, festivals or concerts. Time-coded, pre-synchronized shows can be done as well as live laser shows: We have experts for both types, they can handle even extremely complex synchronization scenarios.
It is also possible to do small-scale laser shows for little money: Just tell us about your plans for your laser show and we help you in specifying a show that meets the show budget.

Laser Show References

Many references of laser shows and multi-media shows where laser systems manufactured by the Laserworld group came into action accumulated over the past years, so we documented them in pictures and videos in our portfolio section. Of course, these references only show a small part of the laser shows and multi-media shows our partners have done throughout the years, as many of our customers did not want us to show their project in our references – mainly as these were commercial laser applications or corporate laser shows, which were not meant to be publicly shown. Nevertheless we prepared a good number of references, and we keep on adding more.
The partners of the Laserworld Group did laser shows and multi-media projects at many different occasions and for many different applications. Most common places laser shows are displayed at nightclubs, festivals, amusement parks and at corporate shows. Also many famous artists and musicians rely on laser show and multimedia support for their stage shows. Besides that, lasers were used at weddings, for product presentations or for architecture and mapping.
